For solidarity in rural areas.

Dedicated to solidarity in rural areas, the RTE Foundation was established in early 2008. A singular initiative, the RTE Foundation was the first organisation of its size acting specifically in rural areas. It was founded based on our willingness to promote sustainable development in rural areas in a “different” way.

In the past three years, the RTE Foundation has supported 137 local and useful solidarity initiatives, valued at nearly 3 million € in the entire territory. 137 projects held by various local rural actors: association representatives, local councillors, entrepreneurs, volunteers and others.

Therefore, at the heart of the RTE Foundation’s actions are the thousand dimensions of French rural communities, looking towards the future while respecting people and their territories.

Dominique Maillard
Chairman of the Executive Board

All of these projects are, first and foremost, collective and often innovative undertakings that contribute to the maintenance, development or strengthening of solidarity, as well as the protection of the environment.

The RTE Foundation is seen as a “human, attentive and close” organisation by the entities it supports. Its success is mainly due to the close relationships developed and maintained by RTE employees, which gives a face to our commitment.

For these reasons, we remain committed to developing rural solidarity in collaboration with the “Fondation de France”
